This exciting, new and fun program is a skills building league with curriculum taught by US Soccer Certified Coaches. Twice a week your player will train with their coach and on Fridays play in their league game. Part of player development is getting lots of touches on the ball. Each player will have a ball to use during training and take home to practice with on non-training days. Each team will have a coach and an assistant to help teach techniques and concepts. Our coach to player ratio is 1:6. Players will learn and build foot skills, work on ideas of ball movement using teamwork and learn good sportsmanship through positive coaching and modeling
Training sessions involve a wide range of soccer specific skills, including: ball mastery, technique development and team play.
The BYSC-SDL is designed to provide a positive learning environment through instruction that is both fun and engaging.
Meet players from all walks of life who share your passion for soccer and make friendships that could last a lifetime!
BYSC-SDL runs for 6 weeks, 3 times per week, from July 9 to July 27, take a week break and then Aug 6 to 24. There are 2 practices per week (M/W or T/Th). Each Friday teams play a league game. Practices (75 minutes) and games are between 1pm-5pm at Bitterlake Playfield. All practices and games are at Bitterlake Playfield. Practices start most weeks at 1 pm, 2:20 pm and 3:40 pm. Games on Friday will be two 24 minute halves. Every player plays 1/2 a game at least. Kids want to play and we want the kids playing.
We know not everybody can make this schedule. You can miss practices and games for vacation or camps or whatever. We get you have lives beyond soccer just let your coach know. We also know getting to the field can be tough. We set up a “Community” for Carpool help with Pogo. It is one of many options available that may help you out. Download app at www.pogorides.com
